Supersets

Link two exercises in a day so they train back-to-back as one superset.

You'll need:
A plan day with at least two exercises

A superset links an exercise to the one right before it in the day, so during a workout they're grouped as one unit instead of two separate entries. Use it for pairs you always train together - like a push and a pull movement with no rest in between.

1. Open the plan day

From the workout tab, tap Manage plans, tap Open plan, then select the day with the exercises you want to pair.

The plan editor for Push Pull Legs, Push day tab selected, showing the Muscles covered diagram and Barbell Bench Press listed as the day's first exercise, badge A.

On the second exercise of the pair (any exercise except the first in the day has this control), tap the link icon among its row controls. It joins with the exercise directly above it into a single superset card, with a Superset label and an accent border around both.

The plan editor's Legs tab: Back Squat (badge A) with its rest, sets, and rep-range fields expanded, and Romanian Deadlift (badge B1) grouped below it under a Superset label with an accent border joining both cards.

On a linked exercise, the same control now shows an unlink icon. Tap it to pull that exercise back out into its own standalone card.

What it looks like during a workout

When you run a session that includes a superset, its exercises stay grouped under the same Superset label, so you can see at a glance which sets are meant to be done back-to-back. Exercises you never linked keep their own separate cards, each with its own letter badge.

When it goes wrong

  • The link icon is missing on an exercise. The first exercise in a day has nothing above it to link to - link icons only appear from the second exercise onward.
  • Tapping link/unlink seems to do nothing for a moment. The action is disabled while a previous link/unlink for that day is still saving - wait for it to finish before tapping again.
