Search is how you find anything to add to a meal, whether you're logging today or building out a plan. It's the same search everywhere.
1. Open search
You'll find Search foods in two places: the Foods library (tap the utensils icon from the Nutrition tab) for browsing, and inside the add-food step whenever you tap Add food from a meal.

2. Type at least two characters
Results load a moment after you stop typing. Each result shows calories per 100 g along with protein, carbs, and fat, and is tagged Seeded (Koach's food database) or Mine (a custom food you created).
3. Use Recent foods for a shortcut
When adding food to a meal, Recent foods appears below search with your most recently logged items - tap one to jump straight to the quantity step with its last-used quantity and unit already filled in.
4. Select more than one recent food
Tap a recent food's trailing + button, instead of the row itself, to toggle it into a batch instead of opening the quantity step right away. Once one or more foods are selected, a sticky bar at the bottom shows how many are selected with a summed macro line - tap Add to add them all at once, or Clear to start over. When there are more recent foods than fit on the first page, tap Show more below the list to load the next page.
5. Scan a barcode
Tap the scan icon inside the search field to open your camera and scan a product. A match takes you straight to the quantity step; no match takes you to add a custom food with the barcode already attached.
6. Pick a result
Tap any result to move to the quantity step, where you set how much you're adding before confirming.

When it goes wrong
- Nothing happens as I type. Search needs at least 2 characters before it runs.
- No results found. The food may not be in the database yet - try adding it as a custom food instead.
- Camera access is denied. Enter the barcode manually instead, from the same scanner screen.
