Your plan is what you intend to eat; your day log is what you actually ate. Logging a meal is the everyday action - open Koach, mark meals off as you go.
1. Open today's log
The Nutrition tab opens straight to today's log. Use the arrows next to the date to move between days, or Jump to today to snap back.

2. Add food to a meal
On any meal card, tap Add food. Search for a food or pick one from Recent foods, set its quantity and unit, then tap Add to meal. See Find foods for the full search flow.

3. Switch which option you're eating
If a meal has alternatives, a small dot pager appears in the meal's header, next to its name - tap a dot or an arrow to switch which option's foods count for today, before you complete the meal.

4. Complete a meal
Once you've logged everything for a meal, tap Complete. The card collapses into a single row with a checkmark and the meal's name.
5. Reopen a completed meal
Tap the collapsed row to reopen it and keep editing.
6. Copy yesterday, or reset today
- Copy yesterday: on an empty day, tap Copy yesterday to bring over everything you logged the day before as a starting point.
- Reset day: the reset icon in the header discards every edit you've made today and restores your active plan's default meals.
When it goes wrong
- There's no plan to log against. You'll see a prompt to choose a meal plan - see Manage your nutrition plans to activate one.
- The active plan has no meals. Add some from the plan editor - see Build out your meals.
- A food shows no macros. It has no serving defined for the quantity's unit - try a different unit.
